'Hope is a dream that doesn't sleep...' (ost Kim Tak Gu)
Before I was born, my Mom's family have already got in touch with an international relationship. It was because their abilities and attempts to have a better life through education.
Their experiences encourage me to get at least the same chance to get there.
Eight years old when I daydreamed in front of my aunt's unique kitchen. Dreamed about another paradise in this earth. They call it, the United States. Dreamed how to get there.
I said to my mother in Balinese, 'Bu, kayang pidan mekita melali ajak melajah kemu.'
which in English means 'Mom, one day i am gonna go there to explore and learn more and more.'
Mom was always smiling on her thin and fresh lips and said 'You will be there with your destiny and attempts, you will reach whatever you have dreamed about, because you born with billions lucks and happiness from my belly.'
It is happened after fifteen years later, when I am in two and twenty as my dream.
This is the first eye catchy building that I have seen when I officially arrived here and explore the site of The University of Kansas.
The Lippincott Hall, here is the office of the AEC (Applied English Centre), the program of the scholarship that I acjieved.
It is easy to find abundance vegetarian meals in KU dinning Hall :)
This is our KU Dinning Hall, named Mrs. E's. Everything is free, and we can eat as much as we can and want, but we are not permitted to bring it out of this area.
I meet this beautiful Japanese lady, Mrs. Kuni. Her physique and cheerfulness remind me to my Mom who had passed away nineteen days before my departure.
I will spend my days wisely. These all experiences are dedicated to my father who left me before I was born, and my Mom who just let me to spend the rest of my life by my self. But I believe, they are always here for me although in different dimension.
Keep dreaming and do the right things :)
